We’re parents navigating the U.S. high school system for the first time — and it hit us fast. The anxiety, the burnout, the sheer volume of things our kids are expected to manage. Courses, clubs, test prep, summer programs, essays, applications — all while trying to stay motivated and mentally healthy.
What surprised us most wasn’t the workload. It was the pressure — from peers, from social media, from well-meaning adults — to do everything, be everything, all at once. And the realization that most families, including ours, were making decisions with incomplete information and unclear priorities.
We built VillageEd® because we wanted something that didn’t exist: a clear, honest picture of where our kids actually stand — and a plan that tells them what to focus on next, so they can stop guessing and start building with confidence.
